Welding technical requirements

The welding technical requirements and standards mainly include the following aspects:

Work environment preparation: During welding and cutting operations, all flammable and explosive items within 10m of the working environment should be cleaned up, and attention should be paid to whether there are flammable liquids and flammable gases in the trenches and sewers of the working environment, as well as whether there is a possibility of flammable and explosive substances leaking into the trenches and sewers, so as to avoid disasters caused by welding slag and metal sparks.

High-altitude welding safety: During high-altitude welding and cutting, it is forbidden to throw welding rod heads randomly, and the area below the welding and cutting operations should be isolated. After the operation is completed, it should be carefully checked and confirmed that there is no fire hazard before leaving the site.

Safety management of gas cylinders: Gas cylinders that meet the requirements of relevant national standards and regulations should be used, and safety operating procedures should be strictly followed in the storage, transportation, and use of gas cylinders.

Pipeline safety management: Pipelines that transport flammable gases and combustion-supporting gases should be installed, used, and managed in accordance with regulations, and operators and inspectors should receive special safety and technical training.

Welding safety measures: When welding fuel containers and pipelines, the welding method should be determined based on actual conditions. When implementing the replacement method, the replacement should be thorough, and the content of combustible materials should be strictly controlled during the work. When implementing the pressure-free replacement method, a certain voltage should be maintained as required. The oxygen content should be strictly controlled during the work. Strengthen detection, pay attention to monitoring, and have safety organization measures.

Welding defect treatment: The weld should be smooth during welding, and there should be no welding defects such as pores and slag inclusions. If defects are found, they should be repaired in time.

Welding joint method: Welding achieves the purpose of joining through three ways: fusion welding, pressure welding, and brazing. Among them, fusion welding is the most suitable welding method for various metals and alloys, without pressure; pressure welding is suitable for the processing of various metal materials and some metal materials; brazing is suitable for the welding processing of various materials, and is also suitable for the welding processing of different metals or heterogeneous materials.

Welding process parameter setting: For example, the proportion of the parent material melted into the first layer of weld metal can reach up to about 30%. Therefore, when welding the first layer of weld, small current and slow welding speed should be used as much as possible to reduce the penetration of the parent material, which is what we usually call burns (the parent material is burned when the current is too large).

In summary, the welding technical requirements standards cover all aspects of welding operations and aim to ensure the safety, effectiveness and quality of welding work.
