Major fire

Main causes of the accident
(1) The direct cause of the fire was that several welders had not received professional safety and technical training and were working without special operation certificates;
(2) No preventive measures were taken, and the rough construction caused the red-hot welding slag to splash, igniting flammable items such as wooden furniture and sofas in the furniture mall on the second floor underground;
(3) In a panic, it was impossible to use a water hose to pour water on the ground to save themselves. Several people left the scene without calling the police in a panic, missing the best time to extinguish the fire and evacuate people, which eventually led to a tragic accident.

What are the main preventive measures?
(1) Welders must be certified and pay attention to fire prevention during welding;
(2) Proper protective measures should be taken at welding sites;
(3) Special personnel should be assigned to monitor fire sources;
(4) Flammable materials should be kept 10 meters away from the workplace;
(5) A certain number of fire-fighting equipment should be available, such as sand boxes, foam fire extinguishers, etc.;
(6) After an accident occurs, the police should be called immediately to minimize the fire loss as much as possible;
(7) Employees' professional ethics education should be strengthened.
