Meaning of welding rod model
The welding rod model is the number specified for welding rods in the national standard, which is used to distinguish the mechanical properties, chemical composition, coating type, welding position and welding current type of various welding rods' deposited metals. The model should include the following meanings: welding rod, welding rod category, welding rod characteristics (such as deposited metal tensile strength, operating temperature, welding core metal type, deposited metal chemical composition type, etc.), coating type and welding power supply.

Welding rod model compilation method
The letter "E" represents the welding rod; the first two digits represent the minimum tensile strength of the deposited metal; the third digit represents the welding position of the welding rod, "0" and "1" represent that the welding rod is suitable for all-position welding (flat, vertical, overhead, horizontal), "2" represents that the welding rod is suitable for flat welding and flat corner welding, and "4" represents that the welding rod is suitable for downward vertical welding; the third and fourth digits are combined to represent the welding current type and coating type. Adding "R" after the fourth digit indicates a moisture-resistant electrode, adding "M" indicates an electrode with special provisions for moisture resistance and mechanical properties, and adding "-1" indicates an electrode with special provisions for impact properties.

E43 series: deposited metal tensile strength ≥420MPa (4300kgf/cm²), such as E4300 special flat, vertical, overhead, horizontal AC or DC positive and reverse connection; E4301 ilmenite type flat, vertical, overhead, horizontal AC or DC positive and reverse connection, etc.

E50 series: deposited metal tensile strength ≥490MPa (5000kgf/cm²), such as E5001 ilmenite type flat, vertical, overhead, horizontal AC or DC positive and reverse connection; E5003 titanium calcium type flat, vertical, overhead, horizontal AC or DC positive and reverse connection, etc.
