Welding fire accidents

A gas welder of a construction team used a leaky welding torch during welding. The flame from the adjusting wheel burned and blistered the welder's palm. He applied badger oil but continued welding. During the welding process, flashback occurred again, the oxygen hose exploded, the reducer caught fire and burned, and when the oxygen cylinder valve was closed, the upper half of the oxygen cylinder was already hot, which was very dangerous.

(1) A leaky welding torch is prone to flashback.
(2) When adjusting the oxygen pressure, the oxygen cylinder valve and the reducer are stained with grease, flashback occurs, and violent combustion is caused by the strong oxidation of compressed pure oxygen.

Welders must take the following precautions when performing welding operations. Before the operation, the welding tools should be carefully inspected. The inspection items are as follows:
1. Whether the insulation performance of the welding machine is good;
2. Whether the insulation layer of the power cord and the welding machine lead wire is damaged, aged, or the wire is exposed;
3. Whether the primary and secondary terminals of the welding machine are loose or severely burned;
4. Whether the welding tongs and special welding gloves are damaged or leaking electricity. Those that are unqualified are prohibited from use.
