The tragic incident involving a young female welder in a shipyard underscores the critical importance of safety precautions in high-risk work environments, particularly when using welding equipment under hazardous conditions.

 

On a fateful day, this welder was tasked with her duties within the confines of a cabin, an area notorious for its high temperatures and insufficient ventilation. As she labored in this stifling environment, her work clothes and gloves became drenched with sweat. This moisture significantly reduced her body’s resistance to electric currents. During a routine task of changing a welding rod, her hand inadvertently came into contact with the live welding tongs, leading to an electric shock.
