Arc welding electrodes AWS E7024 (J501Fe18 / GB/T E5024)

Rutile iron powder electrode for high efficiency.

CHARACTERISTICS:

J501Fe18 is a rutile iron powder coated acid electrode. Can be welding by both AC & DC power source and flat and fillet welding.

Good welding performance, stable arc, small spatter, easy slag removal, beautiful weld forming, deposition efficiency up to about 180%.

E7024 is a marine non-alloy steel electrode. The coating type is rutile + iron powder. It is suitable for flat welding, flat fillet welding, AC and DC dual purposes, good slag removal, less spatter, and beautiful weld formation.

Application: Used for welding of carbon steel and low alloy steel such as Q345 and other ships, vehicles and mechanical structures.

WELDING POSITIONS: PA, PB

Precautions:

1. Pure Argon gas is used for shielding.
2. Remove grease and oil from weld zone.
3. Avoid excessive heat input in order to obtaining good corrosion resistance withwelds.
4. Preheat is not necessary, and interpass temperature should be less than15OC.
