When it is used for downward welding, the molten iron and slag do not drip and have a big arc blow force and penetration. When it is used for underlying welding, can reach one side welding double molding and have a high welding efficiency.

1. In generally, don’t need to re-dry the electrode before welding. When it be affected with damp, should be re-dry it at 70℃-90℃ for 1 hour.
2. The rust, oil, water and other impurities of the weld area must be removed before welding.

E6011 for AC Welding FAQ

Can E6011 be used on an AC welder?

Yes, and that is its main purpose. E6011 is designed to run on AC or DC positive, so it works on ordinary transformer welders and on engine driven sets where no DC output is available.

Why does AC capability matter on site?

Because a lot of site power is AC only, and small portables often have no rectifier. An electrode that runs on AC means the same grade can be used in the workshop and in the field without switching consumables.

What is the arc like on AC?

Stable, with little spatter, easy slag removal and excellent reignition. The potassium in the coating stabilises the arc through each current reversal, which is what prevents the arc from extinguishing on AC.

Which positions can it be welded in on AC?

All positions from PA to PF, with vertical-down as the specialty. Running on AC does not restrict the position range, though current settings are usually adjusted slightly compared with DC positive.

How is it packed?

2.0 and 2.5mm pack 2.5kg per box, 20kg per carton of eight boxes. 3.2 and 4.0mm pack 5kg per box, 20kg per carton of four boxes. Net 20.00kg, gross 20.40kg per carton, with OEM packaging available.
